Itinerary In Details

Day 1: Arusha to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast in Arusha, your Jaruma Expeditions guide will pick you up and drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its massive elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. Enjoy a full-day game drive through the park, following the Tarangire River where animals gather, especially during the dry season.

You may encounter elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, and a variety of bird species. After an exciting safari experience, you will drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Tarangire – Ngorongoro Conservation Area (Karatu)

After breakfast, depart Tarangire and drive towards the lush highlands of Karatu, located near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, enjoy scenic views of the Great Rift Valley and local villages.

In the afternoon, you can relax at your lodge or enjoy optional activities such as a short nature walk or cultural visit (optional). This day allows you to rest and prepare for the highlight of your safari—the Ngorongoro Crater.
